It is a mindful and relaxing experience, immersion of all the senses in the atmosphere of a forest. Forest Bathing or shinrin-yoku is a preventive medicine technique that comes from Japan and has been proven to have many health benefits, like lowering cortisol levels, boosting the immune system and improving mood and mental well-being. The guided walk takes about 2 - 2,5 hours and aims at improving your overall well-being by increasing the feeling of relaxation and revitalisation, by allowing to focus your attention on your senses and increasing your connection to nature. The session ends with a herbal tea ceremony to intensify the calming effect of nature on the nervous system. What to expect: * A slow and meditative walk * Nature connection activities during this experience * Breathing exercises * Mindfulness practice * Sharing your experience (voluntarily) The experience is led by a certified Forest Bathing Guide (Nádúr Center for Integrative Forest Therapy), qualified Lowland Leader (Mountaineering Ireland) and Botanist (Trinity College Dublin), Dr Kamila Kwasniewska. This is a group session in a shared space. Maximum number of participants - 15 people. The price includes entrance tickets to the Mount Usher Gardens. Session starts at 10 am, meeting at 9:45 am at the Garden Ticket Office.
