Service Description

Join us for a relaxed and engaging 5.5 km looped walk through one of Ireland’s most beautiful native woodlands. As you wander the ancient paths of the Vale of Clara, you’ll learn to identify native trees like oak, birch, and holly by their leaves, bark, and shape—while discovering the vital role they play in nature and culture. Led by Dr Kamila Kwasniewska, a botanist, and experienced hiking leader, this walk is a chance to slow down, reconnect with nature. You may even spot red squirrels, woodpeckers, or soaring red kites along the way. Family-friendly, dog-friendly (on lead), and suitable for all levels. Approx. 2 hours €10 per person Start at 10 am Come explore, learn, and appreciate the beauty of our native trees in a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere! After booking your spot, you will receive an email with directions to the meeting point and tips on how to prepare for the walk.
