Forest Bathing Experience May 3rd
Immerse yourself in the forest—breathe, feel, listen, and reconnect with nature!
Service Description
Step Into the Forest - Awaken Your Senses and Reconnect Feel the soft earth beneath your feet, breathe in the fresh scent of leaves and blossoms, listen to the whispers of the trees, and let nature’s energy surround you. What is Forest Bathing? Forest bathing, or shinrin-yoku, is a deeply immersive practice from Japan that invites you to slow down and absorb the forest’s healing atmosphere. By engaging all your senses, this mindful experience has been proven to reduce stress, boost immunity, and enhance overall well-being. During this 2.5–3 hour guided walk, you’ll be gently led into a state of deep relaxation and revitalisation. The session concludes with a soothing herbal tea ceremony, allowing you to fully absorb the calming energy of the forest. Located between Laragh and Rathdrum, the Vale of Clara Nature Reserve is known for its exceptional woodland and Avonmore River, which passes through the valley. The Reserve is home to many native tree species like oak, birch, mountains ash or holly. The forest is teeming with life. Many birds - woodpecker, jay, red kite and mammals - deer, badger, and red squirrel are just some of the wildlife in the Reserve. The experience is led by a certified Forest Bathing Guide (Nádúr Center for Integrative Forest Therapy), qualified Lowland Leader (Mountaineering Ireland) and professional Botanist (Trinity College Dublin), Dr Kamila Kwasniewska. This is a group session. Maximum number of participants is 12 people.
