Forest of Memories Nature Walk - May 16
Join our guided walk through the forest, where memories, nature, and gentle presence meet.
Service Description
Join us for a relaxed and engaging 5.5 km autumn walk through one of Ireland’s most beautiful native woodlands. As you explore the ancient paths of the Vale of Clara, you’ll learn to identify native trees like oak, birch, and holly by their autumn leaves, bark, and shape - while discovering the vital role they play in ecology, folklore, and culture. This is a special walk to honour the furry friends who are no longer with us! Guided by Dr. Kamila Kwasniewska, botanist and experienced hiking leader and a dog lover, this walk offers an opportunity to slow down and experience the forest in its most colourful season. Along the way, you may spot red squirrels gathering food for winter, hear the drumming of woodpeckers, or even catch sight of red kites soaring overhead. Family-friendly, dog-friendly (on lead), and suitable for all levels. Approx. 2 hours €12.5 per person Start at 10 am All proceeds from the walk will be donated to the Ash Animal Rescue in Co.Wicklow. After booking your spot, you will receive an email with directions to the meeting point and tips on how to prepare for the walk.
