Service Description

Join us for a nourishing Summer Solstice Retreat in the heart of the Wicklow Mountains on the 21st of June, celebrating the longest days of the year through a mindful hike, forest bathing, and riverside sauna experience. The Summer Solstice is a celebration of light, warmth, and the full arrival of summer — a time when nature is at its most vibrant and alive. This retreat offers space to slow down, reconnect with the natural world, and restore both body and mind in the beautiful setting of Glendalough. Our day begins with a gentle mindful hike through the woodlands, lakeshores, and valleys of Glendalough, guided at a relaxed pace. Along the way, we’ll weave in elements of forest bathing and seasonal mindfulness, pausing regularly to notice the many shades of green, birdsong, wildflowers, and the peaceful rhythm of early summer in the mountains. We’ll also explore the fascinating geological story of Glendalough and discover how fire, ice, and time shaped this ancient landscape and the ecosystems that thrive there today. After the hike, we’ll unwind together in a private riverside sauna beside the Avonmore River, with time for optional cold-water dips for those who wish to fully embrace the refreshing energy of the season. We close the retreat with a grounding herbal tea ceremony and gentle Solstice journaling by the fire, helping you step into summer feeling calmer, restored, and more connected to yourself and nature. What’s Included: A mindful hike at a gentle pace led by qualified guides Forest bathing and Beltane-themed reflection stops Nature learning, including insights into Glendalough’s rocks and landscape Time to notice wildflowers, birds, and early-summer life A private riverside sauna session with optional cold-water dips Cost: €45 per person and €80 for two Reviews from previous participants: "Wonderful Samhain retreat with Kamila, second time to have mindful hike with her and was amazing again. So wonderful to be invited to slow down and take in nature and Kamila was very interesting and informative. Such a wonderful day which included mindful hike, sauna, river dip and finished off with a lovey herbal tea. Cant wait for the next experience x" - Caroline D. - October 2025
